I’m so excited to share with you a very special Mother’s Day portrait session fundraiser I am hosting. Not only is this an opportunity for Mom to be pampered and the star of the show with a mini-makeover, you’ll also be helping to support the Terra Centre, a local non-profit Edmonton organization that provides supports and services that empower teen parents to succeed.
Mom’s mini-makeover includes hair styling, makeup application, a mother and child portrait session and more! 1/2 of the session fee profits are donated to the Terra Centre. Prints will be delivered in time for Mother’s Day. Pre-booking required.
To find out more about Terra and other ways you can get involved or provide support, visit their website. Half of the profits from these portrait session fees will be donated to Terra. Session details blow.
Why Book a Mini-Makeover Session
It seems that you, Mom, are always the one behind the camera, or only partially visible in an awkward selfie. You give so much time and attention to your children, your work, and others, there is often little time left to do something special just for you. This is an opportunity for you to feel pampered, beautiful and to have your unique connection to your child captured in a way that you’ll re-live every time you walk past the images hanging on your wall.
Sit back, relax and get the celebrity treatment as you have your makeup professionally applied and your hair done by a professional stylist. Then join me in the studio for a 30 minute session with your children where you’ll be put at ease and I will capture gorgeous, authentic images of you and your child. This day is about you, Mama!
Shortly after our session together, I’ll visit you for a personalized image reveal and ordering consultation, where I will help you choose your favourite images and guide you in the process of choosing the best products to display your images on in your home and office — everything from custom framed prints, to high impact metal collage walls and contemporary and unique acrylic image blocks for your shelf, desk or coffee table.
This is a perfect Mother’s Day gift, or a token to show how much Mom is appreciated. If you’re booking for yourself, Mama — congratulations! I’m proud of you for making yourself a priority! Don’t forget to include Grandma — these sessions are for all generations of mamas. There is no age limit on creating lasting memories together.

I can’t believe it’s 2016 already (even as I type this, I had to go back and delete “2015” and replace it with “2016)! This past year seems to have just flown by. I was privileged to photograph so many wonderful families and snuggle some very sweet little babies, I barely had time to blog them! What’s the best way to resolve this? Why, post a video, of course!
To all of you who chose me as your photographer in 2015, THANK YOU! It was an honour and a pleasure to have you put your trust in me to capture your first portraits together as a growing and changing family. That’s what I love about working with families — they’re never static. I have had the unique opportunity to photograph some families for several years in a row, and I can tell you, it’s so much fun to see people’s relationships changing and growing over the years.
Enjoy this peek at some of my favourite images from 2015. I’m currently booking newborn and family sessions for 2016, and looking forward to creating more memories for families this coming year. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me so we can start chatting about your portrait goals for the year.
If you would like to enjoy this in video format, head on over to my Facebook page for a recap of my favourites from this year in under 3 minutes.

This sweet little one is another graduate of my Baby Steps Program (your baby’s first year of portrait sessions). Nothing is going to slow this girl down! She was quite the escape artist and was often more interested in going exploring than in having her picture taken (but really, at 1 year old and walking, who would want to sit still?). We had a great time playing “find the Cheerio” which allowed for some of these great shots. But once the cake came out (made with love by her mama), you couldn’t get her away from it! We may have a girl with a sweet tooth on our hands now.
I can’t wait to see what other sorts of mischief this cheeky girl will get into as she grows up.
As I look at these images, I realize how out-of-date my own picture is in the “about” section of my blog — 3 years old already! My daughter Parker, is growing into such a big girl, and a great big sister. She is thoughtful and kind, and will (usually) willingly share with her baby brother. I have loved seeing her personality develop, along with her great imagination. It looks like creativity runs in the family!
I can’t believe the time has already come to see little Marley graduate from my Baby Steps program (baby’s first year of portrait sessions packages). It really does seem like just yesterday that I met her as a little newborn when she and her parents first visited me. Marley, you’ve grown into such a beautiful little toddler now, and I hope to keep photographing you and your family as you grow throughout the coming years. You can see more of Marley in her newborn session, 3 month session and 6 month session blog posts.
I can’t believe it’s already time for fall minis! I had to add an extra day last year, so now I’m offering mini-sessions on three separate weekends. Only 4 sessions are available each day, so don’t wait to book!
It’s easier than ever to reserve your session. Just complete this handy online mini-session booking form, and you’ll be on your way!
For just $180, you get $415 of products and services!

This not so little man came to see me with his mummy and daddy when he was just 5 days new. Born at over 8lbs, I’m sure mummy was happy he wanted to make his debut when he did. I loved this little guy’s baby blues. I knew his mum from working with her at my design job, so it was nice to get to see her again and meet baby Forrest’s daddy for the first time. What proud parents they made! An added bonus from their session with me was having both our new babes meet each other.
Little Marley isn’t so little anymore! This girl’s personality is really starting to come out, and I love every bit of it! I can’t get enough of these gorgeous blue eyes and her beautiful head of curls. Marley and her family have been coming to see me since she was a newborn (see her 3 month pictures here). I’m looking forward to seeing her again soon when she comes back for her 1 year cake smash pictures!
