When it comes to picture day for your preschool, elementary or child care centre, I do photos a little differently than you may be used to. And it’s a good thing!
School Photos Process with Pause Photography + Design
Candid school photography, with a big splash of personality and invaluable attention to detail, is a rapidly growing movement; I’m excited to offer this to your school or daycare/child care centre. Parents have become tired of the posed portraits and many families are craving an opportunity for something more custom. More professional. More memorable. More personal.
1. Dates, Rosters and Agreements
First, we decide on a picture day that works for your school or child care centre and sign a simple agreement. All I need from you are the classroom rosters to plan my schedule and your help in letting families know about picture day. Physical posters and other materials are provided based on your school’s needs. If your school opts to have classroom composite photos, I provide you with proofs to ensure accuracy.
2. Picture Day!
Together, we’ll decide on a location to set up for picture day. I can work nearly anywhere, indoors or out! My top priority is that we’re in a safe photo location for the kids. I spend a little extra time with each child to help them relax and draw out natural expressions.
3. Proofing
After picture day, each image is carefully edited and private password protected galleries are created for each student. Proofing galleries are released a few weeks after picture day.
4. Ordering
Proofing galleries are open for 10 days, after which all print orders are sent to the lab for bulk printing. This allows us to keep costs low. Digital orders are delivered immediately by email download link.
5. Print Delivery
Print portrait orders are individually identified, packaged and alphabetized according to grade for easy distribution and delivered to the school within a few weeks from the ordering deadline. Late orders will be shipped to the family’s address for an additional fee.
6. Retakes
Retakes are available to schools and early learning centres with over 200 students registered. Contact me to find out more.
